DIONYSIS PAPADATOS was born in Zakynthos in 1937. He began his studies in painting in 1958, when he first went to Athens.  At that time he worked in different open studios, and in particular he worked for three years in the open studio of  Theodoros Drossos.

He is a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts.  His works form part of Athens University School of Archaeology's art collection, Giorgos Kostopoulos art collection and it is exhibited in galleries throughout Europe.

Since 2002 he has lived and worked in his birthplace, Zakynthos, where he has derived inspiration and where he has created his most recent works of metallic installations.
